Hey guys,

OMR would like to invite 2 TeamOZ members to a race we are holding with other clubs on Saturday, April 5th, 2008.

Its the OMR Bathurst Invitational with 29 laps. We held one in 2007, and it went really well.

Its Ausfactor, TeamOZ, OMR, Austeam and Adrenalin Factor at this stage.

If you can put your name down and supply skins, we will add them to the pack.

Saturday 5th April

Quals 6:00pm WA - 8:00pm EST
Race 7:00pm WA - 9:00pm EST

Tyres : 2*
Fuel : 2*
Damage : 100%
Aids : Auto-Clutch Only

Great opportunity for 2 racers ( 1 team ) to come along from this racing group and participate in a 31 car field.

There may be more spots available, depends how many people respond from the other groups. Just depends how keen you are.

Send skins to skins [at] omr.com.au and we will make a special skin pack just for the event.

We will host the server and all you need to do is rock up to our Teamspeak server, load your skin and race.

Its that simple.

You know I am... You've already told me to get back to work... lol

I don't know.. If there's more than two of us interested in racing it, maybe we could have our own Bathurst Shootout between us to see who runs the faster times and would qualify well at this event. I noticed all of the other sites are allowed 4 & 6 guys per team...

If Andy and Ray are interested as well... I reckon a Bathurst Shootout is required... To be totally honest, Bathurst isn't really one of my strong tracks and to have 100% carnage in the race is a little daunting BUT I'm keen... Very Happy

Adrenain - 4 drivers
AVA - 4 drivers

TeamOZ - 2 drivers

As things develop, we will let you know if any other spots are available.

Can run clean consistant laps around there but not as quick as the fast guys

You sound perfect for the event.

AdrenalinFactor just pulled a heart muscle, so we have 4 spare spots to offer in case of latecomers from OMR, Ausfactor, TeamOZ.

So we can offer another two to balance things up.

OK boys,

Name your 2 teams of 2 = 4 people, and then send me the skins.

We can than take screenshots and get the race prepared.

We need one group to really kick things off with a bit of enthusiasm.

We are just finalizing the skin pack tonight... and should know the team situation some time this weekend.
In our skin pack, I have not put "Pit Group" #'s "n it (veh file), is this a drama?
I didnt know what # to put as I dont know what # everyone else has.

OK,

We just need the main paint job on the car, and maybe the .veh file.

You can do the windows, headlights, wheels and boards if you like.

All the pitgroups get done last, and we alter the mod slightly to allow any gear ratio on any track so that it is never locked. Some people like 3.25 diff ratio at Bathurst for example.

Austeam are looking pretty organised, and would be early favourites.

They have already supplied their quota and skins:

ok guys, this is going to jump up and bite us in the ass if we dont get some practice in... Anyone want to set a night for some bathurst runs?
Remember it is 100% Damage, so this WILL test you! (and me!)

We just ran our final practice race tonight to simulate next weeks race.

The final settings are :

Bathurst : 29 Laps
Standing Start : Black Flag Only
Tyre Wear : 3*
Fuel Usage : 2*
Damage : 100%

Quals : 8pm EDST (6pm WST)
Race : 9pm EDST (7pm WST)

Must be able to annunciate words in English on Teamspeak Server --> gameserver.net.au:8768
Quals : No Talking, No typing
Race : No swearing, No putting other drivers off

One of our drivers has made a new skin just for this event. Geoff Coburn is just putting it out there...he is just putting it up to say he wants to be amongst it. His partner will be Micky Clarky in the same skin.
