Hi guys, well as most of you know, my computer has bit the dust (running in safe mode right now), and I need some advice as to what computer I should be buying/building.
With no experience building one, I am a little unsure of wether I should go this way, but I have looked inside a few, and figure it cant be too hard. Only problem is, I have no idea what to buy!
The best thing I have found so far is this...
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220173028367&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RCRX_Pr4_PcY_BIN_IT&refitem=220172204037&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget
It says...
New AMD Athlon 5200+ X2
Dual-Core Desktop System
Vista Ready!
AMD AM2 Athlon 5200+ Dual Core
Asus or Gigabyte Motherboard
2 x 1G DDR2 800 Kingston/Apacer/Veritec or Samsung Ram
Western Digital or Maxtor 250Gig Hard Drive
Integrated Graphics, up to 256MB shared memory
PCI Express 16x
Integrated High Definition Audio, Realtek 6 Channel
Integrated Network
ASUS High Speed SATA DVD RW with Light Scribe
Black Case with 550w Power Supply
24 Month Back to Base
Warranty After Sales Service (Help by Email and Phone)
Value Pack to get you started!
Price is $549
Is this ok? Obviously I would also need a video card, but I think I will stick with the one I have until after Christmas.... |

Dual core is pretty much the standard these days, anything less and i wouldnt bother, my system is dual core running at only 1.86ghz and it eats anything ya throw at it.
1 gig of ram is pretty much the standard these days too.
That vid card will get you by until you find something you like, i can tell you what i have when you are online next.
Looks cheap enough too! |

Brett dont buy anything just yet i will ring you.Depending on your main use of the PC myself all my pcs are built mainly for gaming.
If you want a great gaming pc u should build an AMD setup or if you dont really care that much an intel pc
but prefrence is up to the user my self i have only ever owned AMD PCS (intel pcs Shitty for gaming) AMD is the way to go for gaming. just my opinion but if you google it the results of AMD v INTEL speaks for it self
cheers mate i will ring ya on tuesday
